Smart Cookie PC Repair and Design began as a dream, twenty-eight years ago. I was just a twelve year old boy with a brand new TRS-80 computer that my parents bought me from Radio Shack. I loved it! I took to it right away. I started learning everything that I could learn about computers.
Due to, shall we say, a tumultuous few years as a teenager and young adult, Smart Cookie was put on the back burner for quite some time, and actually forgotten about. However, I continued to learn everything that I could about computers as they increased in popularity, use and computing power.
It wasn't until December of 2010 that I was challenged by a friend who asked what was stopping me from fulfilling my dream? It took me three months after that to learn as much as I could about starting my own home-based business and in early March of 2011, I filed the paperwork to do business as Smart Cookie PC Repair. I couldn't decide what to call the company, at first. I came up with a few names. Andy's Answers, Indirect Tech, and finally another friend of mine made the comment that I'm a "smart cookie". I liked the name, so I turned it into my business name. It wasn't until I took a class in Web Design that I decided to add web design to my list of services.
Smart Cookie just celebrated its one year anniversary and I'm looking forward to continuing to provide remote technical support and web design to the masses of people out there in the world. Stay tuned for great things to come.
